Just finished repainting the tank on my latest custom-to-be project bike. Lisa's first learner bike was a 1971 Honda CL100, street version dual sport. Does anyone have any parts lying around for one of these? They take a really unusual set of pegs, kicker pedal and shifter, and I'm not sure I can adapt HD parts to fit. This bike is less than 1/2 the overall size of the Savage, and everything is scaled accordingly. Anything a'll can come up with parts wise would be appreciated. This will be a motor out repaint and modify, so the parts do not need to be perfect, only reusable. We're also building this more as an early 70's custom, not a resto, so period parts would be more than perfect.
As for the Savage, the custom job is on hold, indefinitely. Unlike with the mini Honda, Lisa's dad won't pay for that. I haven't ridden it in a couple of weeks, Lisa's commuting back and forth to school on it. Wonder when she'll just decide to take it away from me and keep it?
That takes care of two of the project. Now if I could just figure out why the stop/tail light on the touring bike won't work, and how to get the 450 ebel back on the road. Perfect riding weather here in the Memphis area, and guess who's bikeless. Yep, you got it, ME!
Any who, life sucks, Catch ya'l later, I gotta get to the spray area and paint the tank badges on the mini thumper. (Candy apple red badges, black tank sides and battery covers, center of tank and fenders cany apple red. The mini chop from hell!)
